A) March 1984 to February 1987: Three year residency programme in General Surgery at the Lokmanya Tilak Hospital, Sion. This included six months residency in orthopaedics and culminated in the acquisition of the Masters Degree in General Surgery of the Bombay University in November 1987.
B) March 1987 to February 1990: Three years training programme in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Lokmanya Tilak Medical College, Sion under the guidance of Dr. R.L.Thatte, Honorary Professor and Head of Department
C) January 1990 to April 1991: Lecturer in Plastic Surgery at the Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and General Hospital, Sion
D) April 1991 to date: Consultant Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon in private practice in Mumbai.
Resume of Work Done:
As a resident in general surgery, I have been well trained in the management of all varieties of surgical conditions, including trauma, electrical and thermal burns and other acute surgical emergencies.
The Department of Plastic Surgery at the Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and General Hospital, Sion headed by Dr. R.L.Thatte is a 30 bedded unit which provides Plastic Surgical Care for congenital and acquired hand and facial deformities, post burns deformities, craniomaxillofacial and hand injuries, as well as for patients desiring cosmetic and aesthetic surgery. As a resident, I have been well trained to perform independently a wide range of plastic surgical operations, as well as to provide emergency care for facial and limb injuries. My duties as a lecturer also involved teaching of undergraduate and post graduate students in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedics.

1. An analysis of 35 cases of Enterocutaneous Fistulae : submitted as dissertation for the M.S. General Surgery examination of Bombay University.
2. Effect of Formaldehyde vapour on wound infection in rats : submitted as dissertation for the M.Ch. Plastic Surgery examination of Bombay University.
