Profile: B.A.M.S. from Podar Medical College, Bombay - 1987. M.D. (Ayurvedic Medicine) from Bombay University - 1996. After working with Podar Government Hospital, Bombay for 6 months, have worked as a Lecturer in Medicine (Ayurvedic) for 5 years with a Medical College in Bombay. The teaching experience at the institute invoked in me, a very strong desire to promote Ayurved and its benefits for the people. Have been practicing as an Ayurvedic Consultant for 15 years and as a Panchakarma Specialist for over 7 years. Had successfully formulated my own medicines, this was possible due to my vast knowledge, experience and firm belief in Ayurvedic medicines. Due to the astonishing results obtained from these Ayurvedic / Herbal formulations prepared and administered for my own patients, I decided to make these products available commercially through the venture, M/s. Hasta Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., which I co-promoted in the year 1997. The Company manufactured and marketed Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicines and had over 30 proprietary Ayurvedic formulations, designed by me, which were approved by Food and Drug Administration, India. Whilst developing the website for Hasta Pharmaceuticals in the year 1999, I realized that Internet would be an ideal medium to propagate Ayurved in its true sense, in a cost effective and efficient way. This prompted me to co-promote and launch an internet venture, in April 2000. The site gave ample insight on Ayurved and also had features of e-commerce. At present I am the Medical Director and Chief Physician with "Ayurlife Positive Health Center and Research Institute" in Bombay. The Center provides medical facility in traditional Indian medicine namely Ayurved, Panchakarma and Yoga. The Centre is also approved by Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, a Government of India Undertaking, for treatment of its employees. Have written regular column on Ayurved, in The Times of India (supplement), one of the leading news paper in India. My clinical papers are published in peer reviewed journals on Ayurved in the USA. Presented case studies on 'Cancer' at various National and International conferences on Ayurved.
