Facilities for operating were available round the clock. Treatment modalities included AO methods of internal and external fixation. Seth G. S. Medical College and K. E. M. Hospital being a teaching hospital, we were also referred many cases of "cold" orthopedics, as well as the late sequelae of trauma, from various parts of the country. The bulk of these consisted of non-unions and mal-unions. He had and has a special interest in the evaluation and treatment of these patients.
At the Blackburn Royal Infirmary, UK ; where He worked as a Registrar, He gained invaluable experience by assisting as well as independently performing operative Arthroscopy, total Hip and total Knee Replacements.
As a Fellow at Baltimore, He had a wide exposure to the methods of Ilizarov. He had participated actively in the outpatient clinics both for pre-operative assessment / surgical planning and post-operative follow-up. He had scrubbed for the application of the apparatus for various indications.
At the Hospital for Special Surgery, He had wide exposure to various techniques of Joint Replacement Surgery, including preop assessment, post op care, and scrubbing to assist in surgery. He also had the opportunity to be involved in ongoing research projects, which included evaluating wear in polyethylene cups.
